Paulaida Fitzsimmons

Paulaida is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers. She is a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist and a registered Autplay provider. 

She has a particular interest and training in working with children with Autism and other neuro-diversities and children who have been exposed to trauma.

 Paulaida has extensive experience working therapeutically with children and their families and have a particular interest in working with children with neuro-developmental differences, including Autism. 

Paulaida uses various therapeutic interventions in a fun, playful, and interactive way to engage children and build a trusting therapeutic relationship. She assists children and parents to develop and practice a range of skills, including social skills, emotional regulation,  behavioural challenges, trauma processing, and attachment difficulties. Paulaida works along side parents, carers, and schools to ensure a holistic approach. 

She has additional qualifications and training, including: Diploma of Community Services, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with Children, and Social Thinking. She has several parenting support qualifications and is a qualified Triple P, Circle of Security and Tune into Kids provider.

Currently Paulaida can see children on NDIS plans that are either Plan or Self-managed and offers both Telehealth and face to face sessions.
